History of Cloud Splitter Lacrosse Club, continued

Lake Placid Summit organizer George Leveille was the founding member of Cloud Splitter along with Mark Walsh, Doug Maynard, Ed Spencer and several others who continue to represent Cloud Splitter today. Mark Walsh led the most senior Cloud Splitter teams for several years and was followed by John Stalfort and Rich Werner who have provided leadership for the 60+ and 65+ teams. Trip Fisher and Gregg Giampaolo currently captain the 60+ team. Jeff Perner has been the primary organizer and captain for the 45+ team and Luke Walsh, followed by Max Wagner and Will Pieterse have provided leadership for the Men's Open team.

Since its first appearance in 1999, Cloud Splitter has won 21 tournament championships including 16 titles in Lake Placid in four different divisions (45+, 50+, 60+, 65+). Cloud Splitter also had the privilege of winning two championships in World Games Festivals in 2010, Manchester, England (55+) and in 2014, Denver, Colorado (60+). The Splitters have also won three championships at the Florida Lacrosse Classic in 2014 (60+), 2020 (65+) and 2023 (65+).
